About

Hello! I am ceramic artist based in the heart of Halifax's vibrant north end. Nestled in my cozy studio, I work primarily with beautiful brown and white speckled stoneware, using sgraffito (carving), slip cast molds, and decals as surface design. My work is in constant motion. Shifting and changing from functional to sculptural ceramics, earthenware to stone. I move between nostalgic, playful work that evokes joyful memories of travel and nature; and more traditional glazed work that resides firmly in the present, exploring form and function, glaze and reaction, and the interplay of colour and texture.

Born and raised on the prairies, I am a NSCAD graduate and founder of Turnstile Pottery Cooperative. I have been making ceramic work, teaching pottery, and living knee deep in sweet clay since 2000.
